ABOUT THE COMPANY
Blomsterlandet is Sweden's leading retail chain for plants and gardening supplies, with around sixty stores from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south, as well as an online store that is open 24/7. The first store opened in Jönköping in 1989, and the business continues to expand with the goal of establishing itself in more cities and constantly developing. Today, the organization consists of over 700 dedicated employees and is in an exciting growth phase! We are now seeking, on behalf of our client, someone who wants to be part of this journey and take a leading role as Store Manager in Varberg.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The store has an annual turnover of approximately 50 million SEK and a team of about 15 employees, depending on the season. It is a spacious and inspiring store with a well-developed garden section and a customer flow that varies throughout the year – a business that demands both order and adaptability. The team is characterized by high competence and a genuine interest in flowers, plants, and gardening.
As Store Manager, you will lead an experienced team and be responsible for driving sales, creating engagement, and developing the store towards even higher customer satisfaction. The role is suited for a driven, positive, and attentive leader who enjoys coaching, creating structure, and leading change.
To succeed in this role, a strong customer and sales focus is needed, as well as the ability to inspire the team to deliver a top-class customer experience every day. There are great opportunities to influence, develop the business, and make a real difference – both for customers and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a world-class customer experience and drive continuous improvement
- Implement and follow up on central business initiatives, campaigns, and processes
- Be responsible for the store's sales, profitability, and staffing
- Analyze results and develop action plans to achieve set goals
- Lead, develop, and motivate the store team in line with the company's leadership philosophy
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and inspiring work environment
- Conduct local activities for sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Follow the company's guidelines regarding work environment, sustainability, and safety
- Contribute to good collaboration between the store's functions and central initiatives
ABOUT YOU
- Have 2–3 years of documented experience in leadership and retail operations
- Experience in sales and driving store results
- Good knowledge of work environment and daily store operations
- Understanding of business and cash systems (e.g., IFS, Lindbak (EG), Qlik) as well as inventory management
- Comfortable analyzing results and working based on key performance indicators to improve sales and customer experience
- Enjoy coaching, planning, and making independent decisions
- A communicative and motivating leader who creates engagement within the team
- Solution-oriented and quick to handle operational challenges
- Flexible, change-oriented, and collaborative
- Takes responsibility and acts confidently in matters such as price adjustments and safety issues
