On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a senior Business Controller for a long-term consulting assignment. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start on January 6, 2026, and run until February 28, 2027, with the possibility of extension for an additional 1+1 year.
About the assignment
We are looking for an experienced controller to support an existing business controller within one of Sweden's most complex infrastructure operations. The role encompasses both operational and strategic work with a focus on planning, monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and process development, as well as managing the asset portfolio.
You will contribute high-quality analyses and decision-making support, participate in the work with key performance indicators and reporting to management, and drive improvements in work methods and processes. You will also play an important role in business development projects aimed at creating a clearer and more efficient governance and reporting structure.
The assignment includes working independently with your own deliverables but under the overall leadership of the existing business controller.

- Location: Stockholm, Sundbyberg. Up to 25% remote work possible. Travel may occur.

About you
We are looking for candidates who meet the following mandatory requirements:
- At least 10 years of documented experience in qualified work as a business controller, financial controller, or equivalent analytical role in a complex organization (referring to organizations with large asset and infrastructure projects).
- Relevant higher education in economics or finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or project management, including monitoring and reporting on investment or development portfolios.
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as at least two years of experience in producing decision-making materials and reports for management levels.
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you also meet the following requirements:
- At least 12 years of experience in qualified controller work in larger or complex organizations.
- At least 1 year of experience in business development.
- At least 5 years of experience working at the interface between line, project, and portfolio, including support to steering groups or management teams.
- At least 1 year of experience with UBW (Agresso) or Antura Projects or similar financial systems/portfolio tools.
- At least 3 years of experience from a government authority or other regulated operations.
