Munkforssågar is seeking a Business Area Manager to develop our markets in Spain, Portugal, and South America – regions where we have had a presence and loyal customers for over 40 years.
About the Position
As a Business Area Manager, you will play a central and significant role responsible for leading and developing the business area in your regions. You will take over a well-established customer base with very strong relationships – many collaborations have been ongoing for several decades. Through presence, trust, and professionalism, you will manage and further develop these relationships while also opening doors to new customers and markets.
You will work closely with our distributors, OEM customers, and end customers, enhancing MunkforssĂĄgar's position through both strategic business planning and hands-on presence in customer environments. The role is broad, involving market analysis, ensuring profitability, engaging in technical discussions, and creating the conditions necessary for the business area to grow sustainably and long-term. A central part of the role is to ensure continued strong and long-term margin development in the business area.
Business is built on trust. In these markets, personal meetings, language, and relationships are crucial – therefore, your cultural competence and communication skills are as important as your business experience.
About You
We are looking for someone who thrives in the role of a business builder and possesses a strong combination of strategic insight, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills. You are a person who quickly establishes trust, is comfortable in technical environments, and enjoys being where the business actually happens – on-site with customers, alongside distributors, and in dialogue with internal functions.
We believe you have:
- Several years of experience in international B2B sales or business area management.
- Proven experience working with distributors and/or OEMs.
- Fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese, as well as very good English.
- An interest in technology, machinery, and industrial environments – you enjoy understanding the customer's process and the product's function.
- A strong analytical approach and good ability to work with numbers, statistics, and market data.
- The ability to drive a business area independently, create structure, and take initiatives that lead to development and growth.
- High cultural competence and the ability to build relationships in markets where personal trust is the foundation of business.
We Offer
- A business-critical and significant responsibility in a stable, family-owned industrial company.
- Long-term customer relationships, established distributors, and great opportunities to further develop the region.
- A company known for its quality, strong customer relationships, and down-to-earth culture.
- Short decision-making paths, high engagement, and close collaboration between marketing, production, technology, and customer support.
- A workday characterized by freedom with responsibility, international meetings, and significant scope for action.
Placement in Munkfors is desirable, but other locations are possible provided that you are regularly present in the operations.
