Are you looking for a challenging and highly educational job? Then you should work with us at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Emergency and Inpatient Care unit, where we meet children and young people under 18 with serious mental health issues.
BUP Stockholm's Emergency and Inpatient Care section is Sweden's largest inpatient care facility for child and adolescent psychiatry. The section consists of an emergency unit and three inpatient care units.
We receive children and adolescents with serious psychiatric issues such as severe depression, self-harm behavior, serious eating disorders, and psychotic and bipolar conditions. The emergency unit and two care units are beautifully located in the old Sachsska area in Södermalm. The third care unit is very centrally located in the St. Göran Hospital area. A total of 33 care beds are available within the section.
Job Responsibilities
The specialist physician role at BUP Stockholm's Inpatient Care involves assessing and treating children and young people with more comprehensive needs and more severe symptoms than can be managed in outpatient care. You will conduct assessments, diagnostics, care planning, and pharmacological treatment. You have overall treatment responsibility and work together with other staff. You will have close collegial exchange with other physicians in the Emergency and Inpatient Care section. As a specialist physician at BUP Stockholm, you will be part of the on-call rotation after introduction.
Qualifications
You should be a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry or psychiatry. You should have experience working with modern, evidence-based methods. Previous work experience as a physician in child and adolescent psychiatry is meritorious.
