About this role

BUP Stockholm is a child and adolescent psychiatric specialist service within the publicly operated healthcare system in the Stockholm County Healthcare Area, SLSO, which is part of Region Stockholm. The organization consists of five sections that together encompass 44 units. BUP's vision for the future of specialized child and adolescent psychiatry is to provide the right care when and where you need it – for a specialized, equitable, and knowledge-based child psychiatry with a focus on development and participation. This means that the care we provide is safe, effective, person-centered, timely, equitable, integrated, resource-efficient, and that we as a workgroup achieve this in a sustainable work environment. We are now seeking a manager for the Research and Development Section (FoUU). The FoUU section has a multifaceted mission: - Conduct clinical care, preferably with simultaneous systematic evaluation. Several of the units that have been placed within FoUU exist due to uncertain evidence for interventions such as immunopsychiatry, severe norm-breaking behavior, or gender dysphoria, or when we see a need to test operations within project frameworks and cannot see a secure connection with other parts of BUP. This also means that these units may be closed down or "moved out" somewhere within the rest of BUP after a period. - Ensure and coordinate competence development and training, both at the undergraduate level (the child psychiatry part of medical education) and advanced level. This work is carried out in close collaboration with the Center for Psychiatric Research, KIND, or other KI. The assignment also includes coordinating clinical placements for various training programs (nurses, medical secretaries, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists) as well as PTP service. The continuing education of doctors, ST, and BT service is managed within the medical office of BUP and is outside this scope. - Coordinate, drive, and monitor research and development work within BUP. This is done through, among other things, a special preparation group for research and one for development, where work is currently ongoing in service design. The ambition is to stimulate research throughout BUP, and several projects are underway in units other than those housed within the FoUU section. Development is ongoing to establish FoUU coordinators in the various sections. Job Description As section manager, you have overall leadership responsibility for the section. You have a coaching and developmental leadership style and support your subordinate unit managers in matters concerning the leadership and governance of the units. As a member of the management team of BUP Stockholm, you take an active and collective responsibility for BUP Stockholm as a whole. In order to ensure that all patients receive equitable care, BUP Stockholm works with standardized care processes in the form of process maps. Qualifications You who are applying should have a degree from an academic education in healthcare and substantial experience in management and leadership roles. You should have a doctoral degree. It is advantageous to have one or more of the following: - experience in change and development work - experience in clinical work within child and adolescent psychiatric care - experience as a senior researcher/qualified docent - good references as a manager and leader - formal management training Personal Attributes You are results-oriented with the ability to formulate concrete goals and lead the organization towards these. You have a communicative and developmental leadership style and the ability to engage and contribute to a good and open work climate. You have a pronounced focus on collaboration across boundaries, both internally and externally, which is crucial in the larger context that BUP is part of. To succeed in the role, you see management work as a team effort where everyone constantly works to make all others better. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability in these respects. We Offer BUP creates good conditions for you to develop and excel in your profession. As an employee, you have benefits such as free outpatient care, additional compensation during parental leave, the possibility of salary exchange, occupational pension, and insurance. We also offer flexible working hours and wellness compensation (5,000 SEK per year). Additional Information Interviews may take place continuously during the application period. We look forward to your application! The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
