The work to increase safety and reduce crime is one of the municipality's highest strategic priorities.
As a crime prevention strategist in the Safety and Security Unit, you will play a key role in this effort by driving and leading processes that contribute to strengthening and developing safety and reducing crime in Haninge municipality.

The Safety and Security Unit is led by the municipality's Chief of Safety and Security. The unit currently includes two security coordinators, one crime prevention coordinator, and one safety coordinator. The unit will be strengthened with additional resources and competencies, where the role of crime prevention strategist is an important enhancement. This role is new, giving you significant opportunities to help shape both the mission and the position.
Your mission is to:
In the role of crime prevention strategist, you will initially focus on the municipality's work against welfare crimes, undue influence, and corruption. This is one of the municipality's most prioritized areas, where, based on a current situation analysis, you will have a central role in shaping the municipality's strategic work in this field.
In close collaboration with the unit manager, you will implement structured working methods for the entire municipal organization’s efforts to prevent, analyze, detect, and investigate undue influence, corruption, and welfare crime. As a crime prevention strategist, you will lead the strategic work through cross-municipal collaboration.
As a crime prevention strategist, you will also:
- Drive cross-municipal projects and initiatives to increase awareness, knowledge, and the impact of the municipality's crime prevention efforts
- Conduct environmental monitoring and analyze current trends and threats in the field
- Facilitate cross-municipal collaboration and cooperation to develop effective methods and measures together with internal and external stakeholders
- Follow up, analyze, and evaluate initiatives to ensure the quality and effectiveness of implemented measures
- Act as an expert and advisor by producing reports and materials for decision-making regarding strategic directions and positions
- Represent the municipality in internal and external networks within the crime prevention field
We are looking for someone who is:
- Independent and adaptable to changing conditions and challenges

- Relationship-building and works effectively in teams, both within your organization and with external stakeholders
- Communicative with the ability to engage and express yourself clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing in Swedish, and can convey important messages
- Strategic and possesses an analytical holistic view
- Quality-conscious and has a problem-solving approach
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in political science, economics, or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Experience in investigation, analytical work, quality management, or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Experience in municipal operations
- Several years of experience in strategic crime prevention and safety-enhancing work within the public sector
