Mission As of July 1, 2025, social services received a clarified responsibility for crime prevention work. Svedala Municipality is taking an active step forward and is now seeking a coordinator who wants to develop, coordinate, and drive the municipality's crime prevention and safety-creating work, with a special focus on children and youth at risk. Individual and Family Care in Svedala Municipality aims to proactively address issues at individual and group levels by creating a sustainable structure in crime prevention work. The Crime Prevention Coordinator will be tasked with coordinating crime prevention efforts and promoting a shared approach and working method based on knowledge and proven experience throughout the municipality. This includes mapping and planning processes, monitoring the external environment, implementing strategies, leading meetings, building relationships both internally and externally, implementing working methods, and following up and evaluating the work. In the role of coordinator, you will be part of developing and coordinating the municipality's crime prevention work in accordance with the new Social Services Act. You will map the current situation and existing interventions, identify needs and development areas, and lead and coordinate SSPF collaboration (School - Social Services - Police - Leisure). The work also involves investigating young people's digital lives, online harassment, and risk behaviors, as well as conducting information campaigns about issues such as drugs and crime. A crucial part of the assignment is contributing to the municipality's situational awareness and crime prevention planning together with the police, and following up and quality-assuring the work to ensure it is based on knowledge and proven experience. Crime prevention work in Svedala Municipality encompasses both children with norm-breaking behaviors and specific interventions to prevent continued norm-breaking behavior and recidivism for all ages. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape a new and socially important mission in close collaboration with social services, culture and leisure, schools, and the police. Competence We are looking for someone who has: • Social work degree or other relevant college degree assessed as equivalent by the employer • Several years of experience in social work with children and youth • Experience with preventive work • Good collaboration skills and experience working across multiple professional domains • Ability to create trusting relationships and actively participate in outreach work • Ability to analyze, drive processes, and create structure in complex contexts • Ability to work independently towards long-term goals and plan activities to achieve them • Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written • B driver's license Additional merits include: • Experience with crime prevention work • Experience with coordination assignments • Experience working in municipal operations • Experience collaborating with various professionals internally and externally • Project management experience • Good knowledge of relevant legislation • Education in criminology Working Time/Duration Permanent full-time position.
