About the Position
As a social worker at Bris, you will work directly with children, parents, and professionals. You will provide support to children and young people both individually and in groups, and assist the child with existing and new agency contacts as needed. The position also involves maintaining and further developing Bris's support initiatives and adapting them to the needs of the region. In this role, you will also engage in knowledge-enhancing activities aimed at adults and professionals through training, lectures, and partnerships. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for reaching out and building relationships with municipalities, authorities, and other civil society organizations in the region to spread awareness of Bris's activities, children's rights, and the situation of children in Sweden today.
The role is broad, and you should feel comfortable working flexibly and on the move. You will collaborate closely with the team at the office in Umeå as well as with colleagues across Sweden. The position involves some evening and weekend work, as well as travel, and you will report to the regional manager.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who has the energy, determination, and perseverance to continue developing Bris's activities in the region together with colleagues. The role includes both work as a counselor at our reception and outreach work, which requires you to be relationship-building, communicative, and collaborative. The role is independent, which demands that you have a strong drive and can plan, execute, and follow up on your work autonomously. Being unpretentious, curious, and attentive are other success factors. You naturally share Bris's core values.
What We Expect You to Contribute
- You are a qualified social worker with experience in support initiatives for children and parents.
- You have a good understanding of children in crisis, children's rights, and experience with how societal support functions and the public sector operate.

- You have a driver's license and are an experienced driver. Bris provides a vehicle for work-related assignments.
- You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
