Your Role At Saab Aeronautics' Special Mission and Regional Aircraft division, we manage civil Saab 340 and Saab 2000 aircraft, as well as our Special Mission aircraft primarily based on Global 6000/6500 (Global Eye). We have several new major development projects involving exciting product updates. We need more employees in the airworthiness and certification area. At the airworthiness office, we work to ensure our aircraft are approved, certified, and airworthy within our civil and military design permits, and that work is conducted according to aviation authority expectations. This includes responsibility for certification work and incident reporting to aviation authorities. Part of the work involves project managing tasks related to certification and airworthiness. Smaller tasks also arise in everyday work that need to be handled. Within Special Mission and Regional Aircraft, you'll have opportunities to work on varied issues depending on your interest and competence. You'll build an extensive internal and external network. Given the breadth of tasks, you'll have excellent opportunities for personal development and building competence in technology, our aircraft, and regulations. The work occurs in close dialogue with technical managers and chief engineers, and often involves participating in project design leadership. Your Profile We're seeking candidates with experience in areas such as aircraft development, regulations, certification, project management, and who appreciate order and structure. Knowledge and interest in international civil aviation regulations provide a good starting point for certification and airworthiness issues. An open mind, eagerness to learn, and curiosity about improving our operations are significant advantages. Product knowledge of our aircraft can be learned, but a fundamental understanding of complete aircraft is an excellent foundation. Experience from other types of regulated organizations is also merit-worthy. All written communication in this position will be in English, requiring excellent language skills both verbally and in writing. Since parts of our regulations are in Swedish, good Swedish language skills are also required. We seek someone with analytical thinking abilities and inner drive to achieve personal and organizational goals. You'll naturally work both independently and in groups, with social interaction and collaboration presenting no difficulties. The position also requires precision and structure. The Following Abilities, Characteristics, and Competencies Are Advantageous: * Technology and/or aviation interest * Experience reading/interpreting aviation authority requirements and creating/quality assuring internal regulations * Experience in system safety work * Aircraft development experience * Management or project leadership experience The position requires passing and being approved according to applicable security protection regulations.
