Fire Engineer – with the opportunity to serve as Regional Incident Leader (RIL)
Are you a fire engineer looking for an exciting and varied job? Nerikes Brandkår is now seeking someone who wants to contribute to the development of operational activities with the goal of ensuring safety for both employees and citizens.
The municipal association Nerikes Brandkår is one of Sweden’s larger fire services, comprising nine member municipalities, 28 fire stations, and approximately 500 employees. Our ambition is to operate a fire service that is at the forefront—both operationally and in accident prevention. Within our operational area, there is a wide range of facilities: a university, heavy chemical industry, large warehouses, mining, water treatment plants, university hospitals, an airport, and much more.
We are currently in an exciting phase of expansion and development. An operational collaboration between Värmland, Dalarna, and Örebro County (Emergency Region Bergslagen) started in 2020, and in November 2023, the joint control center Seglet was completed, where we collaborate with the Police and SOS Alarm. In spring 2026, an additional fire station will be completed and inaugurated in Örebro.
Nerikes Brandkår actively works to be an equitable and inclusive workplace. Therefore, we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
