About this role
Are you passionate about developing a forward-thinking fire service? With us, you will have the opportunity to grow alongside friendly colleagues and meaningful tasks. Do you want to become one of us?
Strängnäs is a growing municipality located in the heart of Mälardalen, combining the charm of a small town with the opportunities of a big city. The fire service plays a vital role in ensuring safety within the municipality. We actively invest in development, collaboration, and new technology to meet future needs.
We have 33 full-time employees (including eight in daytime positions) and approximately 45 part-time firefighters (RIB employees). Operationally, we have a full-time crew in Strängnäs and two RIB teams located in Strängnäs, as well as a shared team for Mariefred and Åkers Styckebruk. Additionally, we will introduce our first on-call firefighter in Stallarholmen at the beginning of 2025. The total preparedness in the municipality consists of at least 16 personnel.
We collaborate with all our neighboring municipalities and, since 2022, particularly within the system management RC East, which includes five fire services covering 17 municipalities. Within this framework, there are four joint operational management functions with continuous staffing. Our system management is part of RC Mitt (Greater Stockholm) in the Eastern Svealand Rescue Region (RRÖS), which includes 13 fire services covering 43 municipalities.
With us you will:
• Be a part of an engaged and knowledgeable team.
• Work in a progressive organization focused on quality and development.
• Make a real difference every day in a profession of critical social significance.
