About this role

We are now searching for substitute staff for our team at Vassmolösa Children and Youth Home. About Vassmolösa Children and Youth Home Vassmolösa is an LSS residence catering to young people aged 13-18 years (or as long as the youth is in school) who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum and/or intellectual disabilities. We work individually tailored according to Nytida's pedagogical framework, which is based on low-arousal approach, clear pedagogical communication, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Our method is individualized to ensure that each young person has the best conditions for quality of life, participation, self-determination, and meaningfulness. With calmness, security, and structure, we support the youth in utilizing their strengths and embracing their interests. We are a small team working closely together, where collaboration among colleagues is fundamental. We support the youth, step by step, towards greater independence, as preparation for adult life. Our action plans are based on the youth's needs, strengths, and interests. In all activities, we take into account the youth’s right to participation and independence according to their abilities. The residence is located 23 kilometers south of Kalmar in a village called Kvarnlyckan. The area is near beautiful nature, walking trails, the sea, and swimming spots. The nearest bus stop is 2.3 kilometers from the residence, from where it takes 30 minutes to reach Kalmar via public transport. A short drive allows access to various recreational activities in the area, such as bowling, swimming pools, cinemas, skate parks, playgrounds, ice rinks, libraries, among others.
