We within the healthcare and social services sector are responsible for municipal care and support services for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. We are now looking for a dedicated residential support worker who wants to assist our customers in their daily lives in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
Your new job
The residential support group is part of the social psychiatry unit operated by us. The group consists of 10 employees, including one coordinator. One employee is moving on to another position, and we are therefore seeking a new colleague to join us.
We are looking for someone who sees opportunities, has a positive view of people, and a strong commitment to helping others. The job requires you to be responsible and possess personal maturity. You are a secure and stable individual. You collaborate well with others and relate to customers in a sensitive and flexible manner.
As a residential support worker, you will support customers based on their individual needs and provide assistance using a pedagogical approach. Together with the customer, you will work towards the goal of enabling them to lead an independent life. You will provide support both at home and outside of it. There will be instances of working alone as you will independently assist customers in their environments. The work is carried out both in central Åkersberga and in surrounding areas, including Ljusterö.
You are expected to be engaged and to find methods that consistently provide customers with quality support. You should be a flexible team player who views the entire unit's customers as your area of responsibility.
As a residential support worker, you will be responsible for:
• Planning and developing work in collaboration with other colleagues.
• Establishing and following up on implementation plans.
• Writing social documentation.
• Reporting hours worked.
• Conducting residential support in accordance with orders, together with customers.
Your profile
We are seeking someone with experience in care and support work, for example, residential support or home care. You should have at least a certification as a care assistant with psychiatric competence or other training deemed equivalent by the employer. You should also have basic knowledge in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. It is considered an asset if you have training in Motivational Interviewing (MI).
You should possess basic computer skills and experience in maintaining social documentation.
A valid driver's license is required, as well as strong proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
The work requires you to be self-sufficient while also enjoying teamwork. As a person, you are solution-focused and responsible. You are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships. You have excellent collaborative skills with authorities, care coordinators, and other partners. Personal suitability is highly valued.
