About this role

We are looking for someone who wants to help shape the Ale of tomorrow. With us, you will deliver services of the highest quality to the residents of Ale. Together, 2,500 employees create an Ale that focuses on the inhabitants and their needs. Become one of us! **About the Workplace** A salutogenic approach and low-arousal principles permeate the workplace. The workgroup is engaged in their tasks and collectively possesses a wealth of experience and knowledge. The role of a residential support worker is based in the office located in Älvängen. The work includes traditional tasks as a residential support worker, as well as developing other forms of support for the target group without requiring a lack of assistance. The workgroup has a team leader who supports daily operations and, among other things, plans visits to clients using the TES system. We work to implement the decisions regarding residential support made by the social services authority. **Job Responsibilities** We work together with clients to help them become as independent as possible. The work involves motivating, supporting, and guiding. The specifics of the assignments vary based on the client's needs for support. Assistance is provided in a way that strengthens the individual's confidence in their own abilities. The work is primarily conducted as solo work in clients' homes. Some of our clients have pets, so you need to be comfortable with that. Work with clients is documented in Treserva, where we write notes in the journal, create implementation plans, and follow up on those plans. In accordance with the new social services law, we have started a group of clients who, together with staff, go out into nature. We also plan to meet residents at various meeting places in the municipality to increase accessibility and provide support with, for example, mail and/or social interaction with others. With us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference and create positive changes in our clients' lives. Apply for the position today and take the step towards meaningful work! **Qualifications** Community within the workplace is important, and we expect you to take responsibility for both the group's work and our clients. The position includes participating and being active in workplace meetings and operational meetings. **Requirements** The minimum educational requirement is a nursing program or education deemed equivalent by the employer. Previous experience working with at least one of the following target groups is required: individuals with disabilities, substance abuse issues, psychiatry, or neuropsychiatry. A valid B driver's license is required as we are Sweden's longest municipality. Empathy is essential to be responsive to clients' needs. We believe in close collaboration to create a path forward for clients, so you need to have good collaborative skills. With your ability to work independently, you will plan, implement, and follow up on interventions, requiring you to work in a structured manner. Unplanned events may occur during a workday, so you need to be flexible in prioritizing tasks. **Meritorious** Education from a vocational college/qualified vocational training, pedagogical education, residential or activation pedagogy, social work education, or other relevant education is meritorious. Experience working with several of the target groups within individuals with disabilities, substance abuse issues, psychiatry, or neuropsychiatry is also an advantage. **Other** Working hours are scheduled during weekdays, with occasional evenings possible.
