We are now looking for residential support workers for our teams at Gamla Ledbergsvägen and Norrsätersgatan in Linköping. We offer training and a rewarding job where you can make a difference! The positions are available at 70-100%.
About Gamla Ledbergsvägen and Norrsätersgatan
The units are located in Malmslätt, with good public transport connections from the travel center. Each unit accommodates 5 individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities who require personal care around the clock. Both units have awake night staff.
About the Role
As a residential support worker, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the residents, providing support in daily life from an educational perspective. Together with your colleagues, you will work towards making each day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide residents with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. Your responsibilities will also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours will be scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.
You will have a group manager nearby who spends part of their time working in the unit. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your Experience and Knowledge
You, as the applicant, should have a high school education in healthcare and social services or equivalent training. You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. Experience in medical care and assistive technology is an advantage. Since our users have limited verbal communication, it is desirable that you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication methods, such as visual supports and sign language. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches is also preferred.
You possess a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and a sense of responsibility. You enjoy working in a team, supporting your colleagues, and always prioritize the best interests of our users in everything you do.
