Housing Support belongs to the Individual and Family Care department. It is divided into eight different teams that work with various target groups. There are three Psychosocial teams, an LSS team, an addiction team, a youth team, and a family team. Housing Support also includes a meeting point activity called Skutan, which is for people with long-term mental health issues, aimed at creating social community, breaking isolation, and motivating participants towards employment/internship. It is an open activity where the person participates at their own discretion. Housing Support consists of 32 employees, including four coordinators and one unit manager. The collegial support is important to us, where you work to create a respectful and pleasant work atmosphere. We are now seeking reinforcement for the family team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In the family team, we receive assignments from the Child and Youth Authority when they have identified a need for home support for a family. We work with parents with cognitive difficulties, intellectual-cognitive disabilities, NPF, or challenging social situations who struggle to manage daily life with their children. The focus is on developing parenting skills and providing guidance at home. This can include: Morning and evening routines, such as hygiene, times, planning Supporting/guiding parents to achieve good safety inside and outside the home Supporting meal planning Supporting the maintenance of routines Support is often combined with family treatment. The Family Team also works on mapping, which is a home-based complement to the social services investigation based on BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus). This intervention is used when a more in-depth investigation of the child's home environment and parenting abilities is required. It is an intensive and comprehensive intervention performed in the family's home over 6-8 weeks, based on questions from social services grounded in BBIC. The Family Team also provides support during visitation when there are increased concerns about the child's safety during contact. This is done on assignment from social services or through a district court ruling. The goal of our work is to focus on children's safety, development, and developmental opportunities in the parent-child relationship. We place great emphasis on collaboration with both internal and external actors. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent education. As a person, you have the ability to create and develop professional relationships. In your work, you show great commitment, work creatively, and see opportunities instead of obstacles. Solution-focused approach and high flexibility are required. Good documentation skills. It is meritorious if you have knowledge/experience working with children and families, the ability to observe parent-child interactions, and the ability to follow children's development based on BBIC. Experience in investigation/treatment work within social services or institutions is also meritorious. Daytime work, and occasional evening and weekend work may be required A B driver's license is mandatory as extensive travel is involved in the position.
