Ronneby is beautifully situated between the sea and the forest in the heart of Blekinge. Additionally, we have good transport connections by car, train, and air. Your 2,500 future colleagues are skilled at meeting the challenges of the future and the increasing expectations of our residents through digitalization, collaboration, and engaged leadership. Together with you, we will make Ronneby even better! The work of the Department of Work and Welfare encompasses authority exercise and execution for target groups including children and youth, individuals with dependency issues, individuals with mental health challenges, individuals in need of financial support, and support due to domestic violence. The department is divided into three areas: Individual and Family Care, Labor Market and Integration, and Functional Support. We have a process-oriented working method where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements drive us forward. As a Housing Coordinator, you will belong to the Adult Unit, which consists of 14 employees and a unit manager. As a Housing Coordinator, you will work with staff across the entire department where housing interventions may be relevant. The Housing Coordinator acts as the spider in the web regarding housing initiatives. Part of the job will involve continuing the implementation of Housing First. There is a good opportunity to influence your work. Fieldwork and practical tasks will be part of your responsibilities. In our unit, we work with knowledge, professionalism, and commitment. Here, the client is our focus! We actively work to create a culture that allows our employees to develop. You will join a workplace where challenges, close leadership, and supportive colleagues are important. Collaboration, both internally and externally, is key. Client influence is a given in our unit, and you will continuously work to improve the operations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Housing Coordinator, you have a central role in the department's operational and strategic tasks. This may involve assessing needs and making decisions about housing interventions, as well as following up on approved housing measures, planning and executing evictions, preparing apartments, and engaging in eviction prevention work. The role entails close collaboration and dialogue with various landlords, as well as establishing connections with new landlords. The Adult Unit works methodically in collaboration across all units to ensure that those we serve receive the right interventions. Working towards continuous improvements is a significant part of the job that drives our operations forward with good quality. QUALIFICATIONS You have a degree in social work or another form of behavioral science higher education that the employer finds suitable. You hold a valid driver's license for a car (manual transmission). Knowledge of rental laws is an advantage. We prefer that you have previous experience with similar tasks and/or prior work in authority exercise. You are well-versed in the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), as well as possessing good strategic and operational abilities. You are proactive and can independently plan and structure your work. You communicate easily with both clients and partners, and your ability to build good relationships will be a key factor in your work. You are accustomed to working in a process-oriented manner and actively participate in systematic quality work. We are looking for someone who is calm and secure and has an interest in working with people in social vulnerability. You will encounter clients in need of, for example, financial support, addiction treatment, and housing support, which requires an empathetic approach. You are self-sufficient and capable of making your own decisions but also understand the importance of working together. To succeed in this role, you should enjoy collaborating both internally and externally, and you have an understanding of the overall mission of the Department of Work and Welfare. To thrive in the role, you appreciate working alongside various professions and see client influence as a success factor.
