At Äppelgården in Kimstad, we are looking for individuals who want to work day/evening shifts at our residence for youth. Here, you will utilize your knowledge, security, and commitment to create stable and meaningful everyday lives for our girls aged 15–19 years.
**About the Position**
As an employee with us, you will work closely with young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or social behavioral issues. You will help them succeed in their daily lives through clarity, predictability, relationship-building efforts, and tailored support.
You will play a crucial role in creating safety, routines, and a calm environment – both in their daily lives and within the residential setting.
**Your Main Responsibilities**
- Support youth in daily routines, activities, and care situations.
- Build safe, stable relationships and work in a low-arousal manner during challenging behaviors.
- Provide structure and clarity based on a neuropsychiatric-informed approach.
- Document according to current guidelines and collaborate with social services, schools, and internal functions.
- For those working day/evening shifts: plan and implement activities, school support, and daily structure.
**Requirements for the Position**
- Post-secondary education: treatment educator, social educator, behavioral scientist, social worker, or support educator.
- Experience working with the target group.
- B driver's license and driving experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication skills and confidence in handling emotions, stress, and changing situations.
**Meritorious**
- Experience with neuropsychiatric conditions and low-arousal responses.
- Experience working with young people with extensive needs.
- Experience with animal-assisted interventions, such as horse-assisted activities.
