We are now seeking part-time temporary workers for our LSS residential facilities in Bälinge and Björklinge, located approximately 10-20 km north of Uppsala in natural surroundings. This position involves working across three group homes. These facilities serve individuals with multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Two facilities are located in quiet areas of Bälinge, and one is in Björklinge. All three facilities are close to nature. Staff are available 24/7 with awake night shifts and on-call sleeping shifts. We work with alternative complementary communication and clarifying pedagogical methods.
Job Responsibilities
Your tasks include ensuring the individual's safe and comfortable environment, providing personal care support, motivating and participating in leisure activities, and maintaining contact with their network. Your work also involves alternative complementary communication (AKK), low-arousal approaches, and supporting various activities both inside and outside the residence.
Here, you'll have a varied job where you use your skills and commitment to meet people's needs. As a care worker, you are a key person in people's daily lives. You work closely with individuals, build relationships, and contribute to their sense of security, independence, and quality of life.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with experience in caregiving and who can communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A high school diploma in healthcare and social services, adult education in care, or nursing training equivalent to nursing assistant competence is advantageous. Experience with alternative complementary communication (AKK) and a low-arousal approach is a plus. A B driver's license is preferred.
To succeed in this role, you should collaborate well with others and have a sensitive and smooth communication style. You are a good listener who communicates clearly. You are proactive, willing to take responsibility, and can initiate activities to achieve set goals. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and can quickly adjust your perspective and approach.
