The Building and Service Department is seeking a Residence Assistant with Rönngården as the primary focus area. As a Residence Assistant, your primary task is to build a vibrant and inclusive student community. You will collaborate closely with the housing office and other support functions within the university and serve as a crucial contact person for students needing guidance or support. The role also involves handling practical housing-related matters and participating in a shared emergency response system for urgent situations. Content and Responsibilities Community Building and Engagement: Plan and lead social activities, events, and initiatives that strengthen cohesion and promote well-being. Be present and active in student life, participate in events, and create connections with tenants during flexible working hours, including some evenings and weekends. Student Support: Be an accessible and supportive mentor for tenants, helping to resolve everyday challenges such as conflicts between tenants and personal concerns. Teamwork: Collaborate with corridor contacts and student employees to ensure smooth operations. Collaboration: Work with university support functions to help students who need extra support and ensure they receive the right help at the right time. Crisis Support: Participate in a shared on-call system to manage urgent situations and ensure tenant safety. Administrative Support: Assist with practical tasks such as room booking, material handling, and facility coordination as needed.
