Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine (PNL) is one of the specialties within the laboratory medicine operations in Region Östergötland. We run a well-developed operation characterized by responsibility, trust, and participation. We are present in most of Östergötland's health centers, as well as in the sampling units at the University Hospital and Vrinnevisjukhuset. Currently, around 100 employees work within PNL. Job Description The primary care laboratories and sampling units are the crucial first link in our laboratory operations, and within primary care, you will work closely with patients in sample collection and analysis work, including hematology and coagulation. At the primary care labs, you will work in close collaboration with other professionals at the health center, but your organizational affiliation will be with PNL, which is also responsible for your professional development and for the lab's quality assurance and instrumentation. Our working hours are advantageous as we only work daytime, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical analyst or hospital biologist and who want to work alongside the dedicated and experienced staff within Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine East. Work Group Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine East staffs and is responsible for the laboratories at the health centers Kolmården, Sandbyhov, Cityhälsan Centrum, and Cityhälsan Söder, Valdemarsvik, Geria in Söderköping, and the Sampling Unit at Vrinnevisjukhuset. We are now offering a temporary position at one of the aforementioned workplaces in PNL East. The placement for the position will primarily be at one of the workplaces, but it also includes staffing and working at other workplaces as needed, as we all together are responsible for the entire operation of PNL East. About You You are a licensed biomedical analyst, hospital biologist, or have equivalent education that we assess as comparable. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a health center laboratory, sample collection, and analysis work from previous positions. We also place great importance on your personal qualities. Our work is characterized by quality and patient safety, which places high demands on very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, for example, communication between you and the patient for information and instructions, as well as for your own knowledge acquisition in the form of method descriptions and training to obtain the competency certificates required for work with us. You will also use your knowledge, skills, and abilities in your interactions with patients. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important.
