Furuboda Assistans is a private assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Association Furuboda. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing enterprise. About the Assignment
I am a 21-year-old man seeking two dedicated and responsible assistants who preferably share my great interest in sports. I study at Valjevikens Folkhögskola, located in the municipality of Sölvesborg in western Blekinge County, with a focus on sports, and I now need two assistants who can also step in as needed for my team of assistants around the clock. I require assistance with mobility, personal care, support during meals and tube feeding, as well as help with communication. In school, I also need practical help to complete tasks. I communicate verbally and with Bliss symbols. I can independently drive my power wheelchair but need assistance with my manual wheelchair. In my free time, I need help to engage in various activities, such as training, attending matches, or spending time with friends.
You, as an applicant, are calm and secure as a person, have a sense of humor, are social, and preferably enjoy various sports just like I do. You have the ability to sense when I need help and when to step back to give me space. You need to have a driver's license for a car. I assume that you are a non-smoker.
I am now looking for two assistants for work as well as on an as-needed basis, such as during the absence of regular assistants due to vacations or illness when I am at Valjevikens Folkhögskola. There may also be occasions when I am home on breaks with my parents in Hässleholm. One position is approximately 90% and one position is approximately 40%. The work shifts vary, and the scheduled times are from 08:00 to 21:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 16:00 to 21:00, as well as awake night shifts from 21:00 to 08:00. All assistance is active time, which means that you, as an assistant, are awake at night and help me as needed.
