The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure care for youth. We operate youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS LVM-home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest environment just outside Mariannelund, accommodates men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have specialized competence in receiving clients with mental health issues or outwardly aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with specific care needs. We are now seeking a nurse to join our health and medical care team! As a nurse at SiS LVM-home Hessleby, you will collaborate with other professionals in an important societal mission to assist the most vulnerable. Your expertise is both requested and valued here. You will be part of our health and medical care organization, working across all our departments. The health and medical care team consists of nurses, psychologists, and doctors. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to quality care and treatment at both the individual and group levels through personal contacts and by educating and guiding treatment staff on health and medical care issues. Additionally, you will assess our clients' physical and mental health based on your professional role. You will be responsible for medication administration, participate in rounds with doctors, engage in treatment planning and interdisciplinary team meetings, and collaborate with external stakeholders. Other common tasks include documentation, coordination of care interventions, health conversations, as well as consultation and advice on health and medical care matters for our clients. You will work closely with other professionals at the institution, such as management and departmental staff, which requires good collaboration skills. As a new employee at SiS, you will undergo SiS basic training. QUALIFICATIONS To perform the job effectively, we require the following: You are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of professional experience in substance abuse care or psychiatric care. You have a strong ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, be flexible, and at the same time be meticulous. Since the work involves collaboration with various professional categories, good teamwork skills and an understanding of different professions are essential. Additionally, you are structured and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Being a colleague who shares knowledge and contributes to a sense of community at SiS are other qualities that make you an attractive candidate. The role demands a high degree of personal suitability, particularly regarding interpersonal interactions. Experience with the TakeCare journal system is an advantage.
