Your role in our team
We are looking for someone with experience in accounting who enjoys taking a comprehensive approach – both operationally and strategically. Here, you will play a key role in the accounting team, contributing to the forward momentum of our work together with engaged colleagues.
You will work with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, and be involved in streamlining the accounting processes for the entire group. We appreciate if you have an eye for improvements and want to help develop our systems, tools, and work methods.
The role also includes handling reporting to auditors, authorities, and other external stakeholders – ensuring that documentation, routines, and backups are of high quality. We believe you are confident in your skills, enjoy collaboration, and are willing to share your knowledge. You will have significant responsibility, but also great opportunities to influence and contribute to our ongoing development.
You will be an important part of a dedicated team that always prioritizes Umeå. Your closest colleagues work within the finance team.
To succeed in this role, you need:
• A post-secondary education in finance as well as several years of experience in the field.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial closing processes.
• An understanding of VAT and tax regulations.
• Strong knowledge of financial and business systems as well as MS Excel.
It is a plus if you also have:
• Experience in the management and development work within financial and business systems.
• Experience with the business system IFS and Wolters Kluwer's Capego software.
• Experience with RPA.
