About the role
As a corporate lawyer at the Housing Agency, you will be part of the newly established unit for Legal Affairs, Procurement, and Contracts. The unit consists of you as the corporate lawyer and a contract coordinator, led by a chief legal officer. In this role, you will work closely with the chief legal officer and collaborate across the entire company. Together, you will support the entire organization with legal expertise and contribute to developing work methods and governance.
The unit for Legal Affairs, Procurement, and Contracts is positioned within the company's headquarters, which also includes functions such as HR, finance, and facility management. We have a collaborative and modest atmosphere and work closely together to ensure the organization develops in the right direction.
The role offers you great variety – you will handle everything from contracts and procurements to confidentiality issues and legal advice related to our community-benefit operations. Here, you can work broadly while also deepening your knowledge in areas that interest you.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to various parts of the organization
- Develop governing documents and procedures for the organization
- Write consultation responses
- Draft and review contracts
- Conduct confidentiality assessments for requests for public documents
- Support procurement and purchasing processes
- Handle court cases and disputes
- Manage data protection, information security, and safety issues
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A law degree
- Several years of experience in legal advising across various legal fields
- Experience working as a lawyer in public service or politically governed organizations
- A good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge of LOU (Public Procurement Act) and procurement
- Knowledge of data protection legislation
- Experience working within the Freedom of Information and Secrecy Act
- Experience from district court work
- Experience with court processes.
To thrive and succeed as a corporate lawyer with us, you need to enjoy a varied workload. We see you as a self-sufficient person who takes responsibility for your work and drives it forward in a structured manner. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining engagement and focus over time.
The role involves close collaboration with different parts of the organization, which requires good teamwork skills and an unpretentious demeanor. Since legal issues often need to be communicated to individuals without a legal background, it is also important that you possess pedagogical insight and can explain complex matters clearly and understandably. During the recruitment process, we place significant emphasis on competence, personal suitability, and interest in the role.
We view diversity as enriching and welcome all applicants.
We warmly welcome your application!
Your application
We recruit without a cover letter to strengthen the focus on the skills and experiences required for the role.
