Your Mission As an Assistant Unit Manager, you belong to an office within the Signals Intelligence Department and a unit operating in the field of Russian military activities. The Signals Intelligence Department works to gather, process, and analyze material in order to report unique and requested intelligence to our clients. In this role, you will lead the unit's daily operational activities related to the production of intelligence reports. You are responsible for the implementation of operational goals and support the Unit Manager by developing production plans and production targets, both in the short and long term. This includes monitoring satisfaction, changes in needs, and identifying factors that could lead to future production. As an Assistant Unit Manager, you also carry the main responsibility for reviewing the unit's reports. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining contact with our national clients and our international collaborative partners, serving as the operational link between the clients' intelligence needs and our production. The role also involves close cooperation with other parts of the authority, particularly regarding collaboration on technical solutions necessary to achieve the unit's operational goals. The nature of the position involves trust-based working hours, and domestic and international travel may occur. You Can We are looking for someone who has: - An academic degree in fields such as engineering, law, military science, political science, economics, or another relevant area and/or acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience. - Previous experience in a leadership or coordinating role. - Good computer skills. - Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is considered an advantage if you have: - Education from the defense sector. - Previous experience working at FRA. - Experience in intelligence or security services. - Experience working in intelligence production. - Knowledge in radio, telecom, radar, digital signal processing, and/or a basic understanding of technology. - Competency and/or interest in military issues. - Language proficiency in Russian.
