Sörby Preschool Area includes the neighborhoods of Sörby, Hemlingby, and Andersberg. We strive for high goal achievement and equivalent high-quality preschools. The area consists of ten preschools with over 800 enrolled children and approximately 180 employees. Our priority focus areas are multilingualism, digitalization, learning for sustainable development, norms and values, and nature/technology/entrepreneurship.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As Deputy Principal, you'll be a crucial part of the management team and responsible for education at some of the area's preschools. You'll lead and develop the operations together with your colleagues, focusing on children's learning, safety, and well-being.
The role involves planning, organizing, following up, and evaluating activities based on preschool governing documents. You'll be responsible for child-related, employee, economic, and development issues, as well as systematic work environment and quality improvement.
This will include:
• Recruiting personnel
• Conducting employee and salary discussions
• Driving pedagogical development work
• Actively contributing to close and developmental leadership alongside the principal and other management team members
The preschool area's management team includes the principal, five deputy principals, management support/quality developer, special education teacher, and school assistant. Joy and professionalism are guiding principles as we collectively develop the area's operations and systematic development and quality work.
As a manager, you'll receive support from the municipality's support functions in economics, HR, legal, communication, and IT. You'll be offered continuous competence development to develop sustainable and quality-assured leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Requirements:
• Pedagogical university or college degree
• Experience in pedagogical work and development within preschool
• Familiarity with preschool governing documents and other relevant legislation
• Experience in leadership positions
