Within the Department of Work and Welfare in Kristianstad, we are embarking on an exciting journey of change. Our vision is clear: A department – ready for the future!
We are developing our organization to meet future needs and create even better conditions for our citizens. Starting in April 2026, we will operate within a new organization – focusing on a modern, sustainable, and legally secure welfare system.
Currently, around 480 dedicated employees work with us, making a difference for people at various stages of life every day. Together, we create security, participation, and opportunities.
We are now seeking more employees who want to join us on our journey of change. Are you driven, curious, and eager to contribute to meaningful work? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Responsibilities:
Within the area of operations, we will be responsible for the department's initiatives and accommodations aimed at children, families, and adults at different stages of life. The operations are divided into seven units and comprise approximately 150 employees. As the Deputy Operations Manager, you will provide close support to the Operations Manager and be a key person in the management team. You will be responsible for translating strategic goals into operational activities. You will lead, coordinate, and develop parts of the operational area’s work, including following up on routines, processes, and working methods to ensure that the unit meets set goals, complies with legislation, and adheres to governing documents.
Special Assignments:
You have a special assignment to work together with unit managers to:
• Lead and coordinate quality monitoring, methodological support, and operational development within social services for children, families, and adults
• Develop and implement family-oriented work
• Ensure that the work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and evidence-based practices or proven experience
• Strengthen and coordinate methodological and development work across the various areas of the operation
• Develop common routines, processes, and systematic working methods to enhance legal security and quality
• Initiate and drive improvement and development efforts
You are expected to build structures for follow-up and learning within the organization, in collaboration with the Operations Manager and other management functions.
Collaboration and Cooperation:
An important part of the role is to:
• Strengthen and develop collaboration both internally (between units and other operational areas) and externally (with schools, healthcare providers, the judiciary, regions, non-profit organizations, etc.)
• Contribute to creating a holistic view in the work surrounding individual needs – regardless of age or intervention
• Act as the Deputy Operations Manager as needed
You will work strategically while also being present in daily operations, with the ability to translate visions into concrete actions. You will foster a positive collaborative climate and lead through dialogue, participation, and clarity.
