Adult Education within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service corresponds to municipal adult education and is regulated by school law, adult education ordinance, and adult education curriculum. The operation is under the supervision of the School Inspectorate.
This Position is Located in Malmö in the Southern Administrative Area. Currently, There Are Seven Administrative Areas, but All Are Closely Connected in a Single Nationally Organized Adult Education, Under the Leadership of the School Chief.
Your Workplace Will Be at the Regional Office, While Your Colleagues Are Located in Detention Centers and Prisons Within the Service's Responsibility Area. This Means the Position Involves Remote Leadership. To Ensure Familiarity with Daily Operations, Service Trips to Relevant Institutions Are Included.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As Deputy Principal, Your Core Mission is to Lead, Support, Challenge, and Follow Up on Continuous Educational Development, Ensuring Students Have the Best Conditions to Achieve Their Study Goals.
You Have Specific Responsibility for Operations, Personnel, Work Environment, and Finances in the Activity Area, in Close Collaboration with the Principal. There is a Strong Interdependence Within Adult Education to Ensure Student Success. Our Guiding Principles are Quality, Equivalence, Legal Certainty, Continuity, and Accessibility.
You Will Collaborate with Prison and Detention Center Managers, Including Workplace Environment Issues Where You Are Responsible for Organizational and Social Work Environment for Employees, While Local Managers Are Responsible for Physical Environment.
Conducting Adult Education in Our Context Requires High Cooperation and Solution-Oriented Abilities. Operations Are Limited by Security Conditions Affecting Educational Possibilities.

We Seek Candidates With:
• Academic Degree in Pedagogy, Minimum 120 Credits/180 ECTS
• Experience in Development Work and Change Management
• Pedagogical Experience in Adult/Secondary/High School Education
• Excellent Knowledge of School Governing Documents
• Good Understanding of Learning Research and Student Success Factors
• Strong Digital Tool Proficiency for Communication, Information, and Collaboration
• Excellent Swedish Language Skills (Verbal and Written)
• Driver's License (Class B)
