We are a preschool through 9th-grade school situated in a multicultural area, which means that the majority of students have a native language other than Swedish. The school has 400 students and includes preschool classes, primary school, after-school care, and adapted primary education. All students have access to digital tools in their instruction. The pedagogical staff's qualifications are high, and the school has a comprehensive student health team. Your Role The role of Deputy Principal involves exercising leadership close to students and employees to contribute to a work environment that develops them. This means daily handling meetings and contacts with students, guardians, and employees, in collaboration with other professionals at the school. Collaboration with actors such as social services, community workers, and authorities is also part of the work as a school leader at Hässelbygårdsskolan. As Deputy Principal, you are responsible for allocating the resources students need and developing instruction based on scientific grounds and proven experience. You are responsible for ensuring that operations within your area of responsibility are run within the allocated budget and that resources are used efficiently. Your assignment includes personnel and operational responsibility for pedagogical staff. This means you are responsible for employee discussions, salary discussions, skills supply, competence development, rehabilitation, and have work environment responsibility according to the committee's delegation order. Together with other school leadership, you will develop strategies for the school's continued development and management towards common operational goals. Your Competence and Leadership In the role of Deputy Principal: - You lead from a conscious systematic quality work with leadership characterized by trust and responsiveness - You are a solution-focused, clear, and demanding leader - You are stable, calm, and controlled in stressful situations and have a high degree of collaborative ability - You have the ability to work towards goals and focus on results - You communicate clearly - You have a high degree of collaborative ability and holistic perspective - You have a systematic approach and the ability to organize both daily and more long-term work at the school Formally, we are seeking someone who: • Is a licensed teacher with several years of teaching experience in primary school • Has completed leadership or management group training • Has experience leading teacher colleagues within a formal leadership or management assignment • Has experience working at a school with similar socioeconomic conditions • Has extensive experience working with student health Meritorious with: • Experience as Deputy Principal at a preschool through 9th-grade school • Experience as a lead teacher • Experience working with after-school activities and after-school care • Completed principal program As a manager, you have a holistic view that considers the broader perspective and acts in the best interest of the entire operation, ensuring that each student and employee can excel.
