Adapted Comprehensive School in Lidingö conducts educational and care activities that provide increased knowledge, quality of life, and participation in society for youth with intellectual disabilities. The activities include Adapted Comprehensive School, after-school center, and short-term supervision for school-age children (KTT). Workplaces are located pleasantly, close to forest and sea, with good communications.

DUTIES
We are seeking a Deputy Principal whose assignment encompasses comprehensive school activities as well as after-school center and KTT, working together with the Principal. In close collaboration with other staff and the Principal, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, development, and follow-up of operations. The assignment involves an overarching holistic view of implementing routines and working methods. The role also includes additional funding applications, scheduling, documentation in Lifecare, and other administrative tasks. You will have personnel and budget responsibility.
You will work alongside knowledgeable and experienced colleagues in well-functioning operations. You will have close cooperation with the Principal of Adapted Comprehensive School. You will also maintain close dialogue with other administrators within the city and have contact with guardians regarding placements. You will be part of the school's management group and the Deputy Principal group.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek someone with previous experience in a leadership position in comprehensive school. You are trained as a special education teacher, teacher, social worker, or have equivalent education. You have experience working with children and youth with intellectual disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. You are well-versed in operational governance documents such as Curriculum for Adapted Comprehensive School (Lgra22) and LSS, and experience with the Life Care operational system is meritorious.
We seek someone passionate about making a difference for children and youth with special support needs, focusing on creating participation, influence, and context. You are a clear, unpretentious, and communicative leader with good collaborative abilities. You have a structured work approach, are attentive, positive, and driven. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
As a leader, you strive to be a developmental manager, which includes being a role model, enabling an inspiring and motivating work environment, showing personal consideration, and creating participation and dialogue.

The city applies individual salary setting. Permanent employment with commencement in January 2025, with a six-month initial probationary period.
