JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like to help develop a preschool environment where children's safety, joy, and learning are the focus? Åre Municipality is now seeking an engaged deputy principal for our preschools - a leader who wants to contribute to our vision: Preschool of possibilities in the present - a democratic meeting place and children's arena. • Staff and Leadership As deputy principal, you have a clear responsibility to lead and develop staff. You will work on recruitment, introduction, and employee discussions, creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring work environment together with your colleagues. • Pedagogical Development You will drive pedagogical work forward through guidance and support to staff. Together, you will ensure that teaching is based on scientific foundations and proven experience. • Child Health and Safety You will work to ensure all children receive the stimulation, support, and security they need. Through close collaboration with staff and guardians, you will contribute to a preschool environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed. • Administration and Operations You will participate in daily operations, manage schedules, documentation, and reporting. • Collaboration and Development You will closely collaborate with principal, department head, and other stakeholders to advance operations and translate the municipality's vision into practice. We Offer: • A forward-thinking and development-oriented organization • Collegial support and opportunity for influence • A work environment where both children and adults can grow QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking candidates who have: • College degree with pedagogical orientation • Preferably started or completed principal training • Good knowledge of laws governing the operation • Strong communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written You are a confident, engaged, and communicative leader with experience in pedagogical work, preferably in preschool. You can create participation, build relationships, and inspire development. You work according to clear processes, organize and plan your work effectively, complete initiated tasks, and meet deadlines. You manage stress constructively, maintain a positive attitude under pressure and challenges. You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward easily, and create new relationships. You adapt and find win-win solutions through a non-prestigious focus on common goals. You quickly find solutions to emerging problems.
