Arvika Upper Secondary School consists of two schools: Solberga Upper Secondary School and Taserud Upper Secondary School.
The upper secondary school in Arvika is in an exciting period with increasing student numbers and a major renovation of Taserud Upper Secondary School has begun. Both schools have good target achievement and staff at both schools are satisfied, with many having worked at their workplace for a long time.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the Business and Economics Program, Adapted Upper Secondary School, Sales and Service Program, and Care and Healthcare Program. The latter programs will be located at Solberga Upper Secondary School during the renovation of Taserud Upper Secondary School.
You will have your workplace at Solberga Upper Secondary School but will work together with the principal at both Solberga and Taserud Upper Secondary Schools. Job duties as deputy principal include personnel management and, together with the principal, responsibility for work environment, student health work, and pedagogical development.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with a pedagogical university degree. You should have worked at least five years as a teacher, preferably at the upper secondary school level. Additionally, experience in teaching and/or leadership roles in upper secondary school is meritorious.
As a person, you are secure and stable. Openness and lack of prestige are some of your personal qualities. Building good and trusting relationships is self-evident to you, and you appreciate daily interactions with our students. You are easy to collaborate with and enjoy working in teams.
Your IT skills are high, as is your interest in and experience with systematic quality work and school development through collegial learning. Your rhetorical ability in speech and writing is excellent.
