Planning the future of Gothenburg is a team effort involving many stakeholders, with the City Property Management playing a central role in this challenge. The Projects and Investment Department has the important mission of implementing new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to meet the city's needs for schools, preschools, elderly care facilities, and special service housing. In total, the Projects and Investment Department manages around 1,000 projects at various stages of the construction process, from feasibility studies to handover and warranty management. The department currently has an annual turnover of nearly three billion.
We are now seeking two assistant project managers for our educational properties area. As an assistant project manager, your responsibility will be to drive projects independently or together with a colleague, from feasibility study to handover and follow-up. In this role, you will support project managers with administrative tasks, such as time planning, budgeting, forecasts, and project plans, as well as aspects of leadership.
The assistant project manager we are seeking will primarily focus on reinvestment and maintenance assignments.
The positions are two temporary roles for approximately one year.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is well-versed in the property industry or project management, either theoretically or practically. You should have a relevant university degree in areas such as project management, engineering, economics, law, or public administration, or be deemed to have sufficient knowledge for the position through work experience.
It is meritorious if you have one or a few years of experience in managing some form of project/assignment in property management.
To succeed in the role, you must be able to independently drive your work forward in supporting project managers. You are communicative and can operate from a holistic perspective, considering the management's overall mission. As a person, you are attentive, engaged, and have a positive attitude towards teamwork.
