The Department of Odontology provides education for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians at both undergraduate and advanced levels. The department also conducts research and doctoral education in dental science, as well as continuing education activities. The department collaborates with Public Dental Health in Västra Götaland in the clinical part of the undergraduate education and in clinical research.
At the Division of Oral Prosthetics/Dental Materials Science, research is conducted in the field of dental biomaterials and related questions concerning the rehabilitation of lost teeth and their surrounding tissues. Our research group consists of about 15 individuals, where researchers with diverse backgrounds work together with doctoral students and research laboratory staff.
We are now seeking a project assistant/junior researcher for our research group, whose task will be to assist our researchers in ongoing research projects. The focus will be on material testing and research of prosthetic constructions. Solid knowledge of manufacturing techniques within additive technology (3D printing) of resin constructions is essential.
**Responsibilities**
- Participate in various aspects of existing research methods and analyses, with a particular focus on materials science, prosthetic constructions, compile research data, and perform statistical calculations.
**Qualifications**
To be eligible for the position, you must have:
- A Swedish dental degree.
- Documented previous experience in research within the field of prosthetics.
- Good knowledge of materials science with a focus on process technology and additive technology.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to work independently and under some time pressure.
- Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
**Employment**
Temporary employment for 11 months, part-time (40%), based at the Division of Oral Prosthetics/Dental Materials Science, Department of Odontology at Sahlgrenska Academy.
