Are you interested in working in a general psychiatric department where the focus is on developing patient-safe care and collaborating in a team with caregivers, nursing assistants, doctors, and social workers? The department has 18 general psychiatric beds and 2 beds designated for user-led admissions. The 24-hour general psychiatric care is part of the general psychiatry operational area. Our care departments are located adjacent to the university hospital in Örebro. In our departments, we have an additional focus on developing the content of care according to the Safewards method. Access to peer support and care places for user-led admissions is available in some of our departments. Collaboration with our specialist psychiatric nursing teams (SPOT) is an important part of our work. Together, we work with shared processes and goals. We operate in multidisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of the individual and tailor our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. Together, we create a better life. **Deputy Unit Manager, General Psychiatric Department 2** **Job Responsibilities** As a Deputy Unit Manager, you will lead change and development work, assist the Unit Manager with routines and instructions for the department, and handle other administrative tasks. You will participate in recruitment processes and work closely with the Unit Manager. The assignments may vary in consultation with the Unit Manager, and some clinical work may be relevant based on your preferences and the needs of the operation. The goal of the role is to create conditions within the operation to drive quality development of clinical work and coordination regarding patient flows and care processes in accordance with the decisions made. The assignment as Deputy Unit Manager is a one-year appointment. Responsibility for personnel, work environment, and budget lies with the Unit Manager and is not included in this role. **Additional Information** As we in Psychiatry value our patients and prioritize patient safety, we will request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records from the National Police Board during the recruitment process. We are looking for someone who is highly engaged, attentive, has a positive attitude, contributes to a collegial community, and maintains an ethical and professional approach in all interactions. We prefer candidates who have good collaboration skills and social competence. Experience in development work or previous experience in similar roles is advantageous. You should be confident in yourself and in your role as a nurse. We place great importance on personal qualities. **About the Position:** Permanent employment in the core profession with a one-year appointment as Deputy Unit Manager. The core employment involves day/evening/weekend shifts (38.15 hours/week), but during the appointment period, working hours will be scheduled for a 40-hour straight week. **Application** Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
