Welcome to Disability Services at Södermalm, part of the Adult Services area.
We are seeking a new employee for a temporary position. The unit consists of 17 case managers, with 13 working with adults and 4 with children and youth. The work is led by a unit manager and a group leader. We are part of the Adult Services area, which also includes economic assistance, dependency, RVT, and social psychiatry. The area also has two coordinators.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is part of our daily work, and we strive to develop a knowledge-based case management process. As an employee of Södermalm District Administration, you will adhere to our core values of being engaged, professional, and innovative. We actively work with representative functions where you as an employee have the opportunity to choose a representative function of interest and drive quality work within that function together with area coordinators.
Your Role
As a case manager, you have the opportunity to work with the individual at the center. The work of a case manager is highly significant and multifaceted, as you will work in dialogue with the client to find the best solution for the individual.
Examples of work tasks include:
- Meetings with Södermalm residents in their homes, at care facilities, or at the administration,
- Investigating applications under SoL and LSS and making decisions according to the delegation order,
- Following up on approved interventions with a focus on the individual's wishes and quality,
- Method development and organizational development through your representative function,
- Knowledge-based work from the individual's perspective, theoretical knowledge, and proven experiences,
- Collaborating internally and externally with various partners such as the region, social insurance office, other social services, and service providers.
The work is varied, and you should enjoy a dynamic work environment. You will work independently and systematically by planning and organizing your daily work.
Your Competence and Experience
You have a social work degree or another college education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience in case management and working with the target group is not a requirement but a merit. It is also advantageous if you have experience working process-oriented and integrated within the areas of disability, social psychiatry, and dependency.
Personal suitability will be important in filling the position.

About Södermalm and Adult Services
Södermalm District Administration is one of Stockholm's 11 district administrations and encompasses the districts of Södermalm, Reimersholme, Långholmen, Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen, and Hammarby Sjöstad. Over 130,000 inhabitants live in the area. Within Södermalm District Administration, more than 1,700 employees are responsible for ensuring that elderly care, preschool, social services, and urban environment are performed in the best possible way for Södermalm residents and that we achieve the vision of a Stockholm for everyone.
Adult Services, part of the Social Department, works to provide Södermalm residents with good service, excellent treatment, and professional interventions. In the area, we have runners who act as internal consultants and fill in where needed, and we also have coordinators who drive quality and development work in the area together with representatives. We are located at Virkesvägen 3 in Hammarby Sjöstad in newly built premises.
