The workplace is the Assistance Unit located at Rådhusgatan 8 in central Enköping. We are a team of 32 colleagues, including two team leaders and a unit manager. As of December 1, 2025, the family consultant and two personal representatives will also belong to the unit.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an assistance officer, you are a key person in our operations. You work closely with individuals and help shape interventions that make a difference for our residents. Your work is both independent and team-based, allowing you to use your expertise to create sustainable and legally secure solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
• Receiving applications according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and assessing individual needs for assistance.
• Making decisions on interventions or rejections based on the results of the assessment.
• Collaborating with clients, relatives, and professional stakeholders.
• Following up and evaluating interventions to ensure quality.
• Working both independently and with colleagues in a team.
We are a unit in transition, which means you need to adapt easily to new circumstances. You see opportunities in changes and can quickly adjust your approach based on what the situation requires.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• A degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
• A valid driver's license (B category).
• Previous experience in assistance case management.
• Experience in public authority operations is an advantage but not a requirement.
