About this role

Stockholm - our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now seeking you who want to think big, new, and different with us - for the people of Stockholm. Our part of the city lies between the lakes Drevviken and Magelungen. Here, the Farsta District Administration works, consisting of 1,400 committed employees who now need a new colleague. With us, you'll be close to both subway and commuter trains, shops and restaurants. And close to a swim in the summer and long-distance skating in the winter. Description The Assistance Unit for Persons with Disabilities consists of a work group of nearly 20 employees. 17, and soon 18, employees work as assistance case managers, and we are divided into child and adult groups. The unit also includes a coordinator who provides support to families with children with disabilities, a group leader, and a unit manager. You will become part of a work group characterized by a strong user focus, good atmosphere, extensive experience, responsibility, generosity, and high ambitions. In addition to meaningful social work, you are offered an introduction and regular method support together with your colleagues. The unit is now seeking a temporary assistance case manager for our adult group. We work in fresh premises in Farsta centrum, close to the subway, shopping center, and beautiful walking paths. Work Tasks Our target group is persons with disabilities aged 0-65 years. As an assistance case manager, your tasks include investigating and making decisions according to SoL (Social Services Act) and LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). An important part of the work is following up on approved interventions. Our mission is to meet the individual's need for interventions with the aim of contributing to increased independence based on the individual's conditions. We place great importance on ensuring the individual's participation is considered when designing the intervention. We use the DUR investigation method. As a case manager, you work both independently and systematically by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work as an authority. You work well with complex issues and can quickly analyze situations and make decisions. You have good collaborative skills, are attentive, and flexible. In your work, you will collaborate with colleagues in the unit and the city, as well as external partners such as healthcare, habilitation, psychiatry, and social insurance. In assistance investigations and complex cases, we apply co-case management to ensure high legal certainty for the individual and support for you as an assistance case manager. You are offered meaningful work with interesting and challenging tasks in an organization that constantly develops based on user and societal requirements. We are seeking someone who enjoys varied work in a changing environment where no two days are the same! Qualifications You have a social work degree or other higher education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have good knowledge of current legislation within LSS and/or SoL. Your work is characterized by user focus, good approach, and judgment, and you find it easy to make decisions. You are communicative and solution-oriented in your interactions with clients, seeing opportunities and maintaining a positive approach. You have good collaboration and cooperative skills and easily build trusting relationships. You work both independently and systematically by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You are relationship-oriented and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work as an authority. Terms As an employee in the district administration, you have flexible working hours, winter and summer time, and wellness benefits. The position is a 17-month temporary employment. We have taken a position on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore decline contact with media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at focusing on each person's competence and thereby counteracting discrimination. To work with children, youth, elderly, and persons with disabilities, including work in their homes, you must show an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than six months from the date of issue.
