About this role

Birger Jarls Gymnasium is seeking a special educator to join a close-knit student health team alongside the deputy principal, counselor, school nurse, and special needs teachers. About the Position The position is part-time at 40%, preferably spread over 4 half-days per week. Responsibilities include: • Administrative management of investigations, action programs/action plans, etc. • Accurate documentation in journal systems and school platforms • Conversations with students and guardians • Follow-ups on cases and feedback • Support in small groups for students in need of special assistance • Support for teachers in special educational methods About the Role As a special educator at Birger Jarls Gymnasium, you will not only be part of a student health team but also a natural and important member of our teaching staff. Therefore, you are expected to be cooperative and considerate towards your colleagues, easily building trust and inspiring teachers in special education. Birger Jarls Gymnasium aims to be a safe and welcoming place for our students, and as a special educator, you are expected to engage with both students and staff in a professional, clear, and warm manner. In this role, you will primarily focus on our students with learning difficulties, and it is crucial that cases are handled efficiently and systematically. We are looking for someone with a sense of order and a commitment to quality. Qualifications We are seeking a qualified special educator with at least 2 years of experience in the field. Experience in a high school setting is an advantage. You should have experience with the various investigations and action programs that may need to be conducted in a school, and experience working with ProRenata is also a plus. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. About the School: Birger Jarls Gymnasium in Stockholm opened in the autumn of 2018 and currently has nearly 300 students. The school offers two college preparatory programs: - The Economics Program with specializations in economics and law. - The Social Science Program with specializations in social science and behavior.
