Birger Jarl's Gymnasium is seeking a Teaching Assistant at 50%

Due to sick leave, we are looking for a part-time substitute for our teaching assistant. You need to have good mathematical skills to support students in mathematics. About the position As a teaching assistant, you will work with several classes across different grade levels, supporting teachers both in the classroom and outside with tasks such as interacting with students and providing a reassuring presence, assisting with simpler administrative tasks, and communicating with parents, among other responsibilities. The role may also include shared mentorship for a class alongside a teacher. This position is a substitute role at 50% until January 18, after which it may continue at 50% until the summer or decrease to 25% until the summer, depending on needs. Working hours are scheduled for mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday. You are required to be able to guide students in mathematics 1b, 2b, and possibly also 3b. Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably at the high school level, but any experience in a school setting is valuable. It is also an advantage if you have completed a teaching assistant training program. You need to have knowledge of and interest in mathematics to support students in need of assistance in mathematics 1b, 2b, and possibly also 3b. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
