About the Position At Clinical Pathology and Cancer Diagnostics, we offer the opportunity to apply for two permanent positions as a biomedical scientist or equivalent at a pleasant workplace with a well-functioning work group. At our histology laboratory, we handle a variety of patient tissue samples from across the country and perform highly specialized diagnostics where all our employees are an important part of the chain. We follow the sample all the way, from sampling to diagnosing physician. The laboratory process contains many manual steps with assessments that vary from sample to sample. Work tasks include handling fresh and formalin-fixed preparations, registration of referrals, embedding, paraffin embedding, sectioning, staining, and distribution. Additionally, we are responsible for frozen sectioning. Beyond the basic steps, we also perform more advanced tasks such as delegated cutting and handling Mohs surgery and Hirschsprung biopsies. We continuously work on development and continuous improvements to streamline our laboratory processes and in connection with the introduction of new analysis methods and instruments. The position is full-time, and we work weekdays during office hours.
