We are seeking employees who want to work with us in Clinical Pathology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
We are a regional organization in transition and development, focusing on digitalization in diagnostics. We are now looking for someone interested in working in histopathology with a focus on immunohistochemistry.
At Pathology Laboratories 3 at Sahlgrenska Hospital, we are about twenty employees, primarily biomedical analysts. The work is mostly performed in teams together with physicians. Our tasks include handling orders for immunohistochemical analyses on tissue samples to facilitate accurate diagnosis and communicate test results to treating physicians for optimal patient treatment. The work is largely performed using automated staining machines, but also includes standard tissue sample processing according to histopathological methods. We are increasingly working with digital image management of scanned slides after staining as part of our ongoing development work.

The work involves paraffin embedding, sectioning, frozen section cutting, immuno- and histochemical staining. There is also handling of acute samples from transplant patients in one of the units, which includes an on-call line. We will provide more details about this during a potential interview. The position is time-limited to one year.
Everyone who joins us receives internal training, and we work with certification to ensure quality training.
About You
