About the Position Bio Roxy is not just a cinema, but also a meeting place for associations, companies, and individuals. We show films every day of the week and also rent out the cinema for private screenings. We also run school cinema and senior cinema, among other activities. We are now seeking cinema hosts whose task is to welcome our moviegoers and ensure that those who come to our venue have a great cinema experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys going the extra mile when it comes to providing excellent service to our cinema visitors. As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, flexible, and proactive. Working hours are primarily at the cinema during evenings and weekends. During summer months, work may occur within other activities in the Nature and Culture Life area. Example Work Tasks: • Ticket sales • Film screenings • Presenting film showings • Kiosk and café sales • Opening and closing the cinema • Following established cinema routines • Monitoring cinema phone and email • Collaborating with and assisting external parties renting the cinema • Actively participating in venue planning and cinema development About the Workplace Bio Roxy is one of Sweden's oldest cinemas and has been operated by Örebro Municipality since 1989. At Bio Roxy, audiences encounter films from around the world, featuring everything from established to new exciting filmmakers, documentaries about the world we live in, and much more. Bio Roxy is part of the Nature and Culture Life area within the Culture and Leisure Administration. The team you'll join consists of a manager, an administrator, and three cinema hosts. Qualifications We are seeking someone who enjoys going the extra mile when it comes to providing excellent service to our cinema visitors. As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, flexible, and proactive. The position requires proficiency in Swedish to communicate with colleagues and visitors. We place great importance on personal suitability. Requirements: • High school education • Experience in cash handling and hospitality • Experience in some form of cultural work (e.g., cinema, museum, theater, art gallery, or similar) Merits: • Studied film studies • Cinema work experience • Knowledge of film as an art form • Knowledge of modern film projection technology Scope and Commencement Employment Type: Permanent position Employment Degree: 20% Start Date: As soon as possible, by agreement Number of Positions: 1 Working Hours: Scheduled afternoon/evening, 1-2 weekdays per week, work every fourth weekend (Friday-Sunday) Additional Information As the position involves contact with school students, a criminal record check will be conducted on the final candidate.
