About the Position
The Technology and Service Administration has consolidated biogas work into a business unit, Gas. Increasing gas production and developing the gas market within the region are two important goals for the operation. Biogas is a crucial part of Örebro municipality's climate work, as it can replace fossil fuels and thereby reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Biogas provides the greatest climate benefit as vehicle fuel by replacing gasoline and diesel. Örebro's city buses, for example, run on biogas produced through the fermentation of residents' food waste and sewage sludge.
In the role of Biogas Manager with business responsibility, you are a key part of the continued development of gas operations, with a strong focus on strategic and long-term challenges facing the operation. Collaboration with other departments within the administration and other actors and stakeholders in the gas network is the foundation for success in the assignment.
The position is a mandate with personnel, financial, and operational responsibilities. The business responsibility includes a prioritized focus on continuously ensuring market outlets for produced gas.
Gas Operations is a small organization with an important mission. The operation is responsible for, among other things, gas production, gas networks, and future market outlets for the municipality's gas. In the role of biogas manager, you play a crucial part in the continued development of the operation and in leading, supporting, and competence-developing employees.

At Gas Operations, we work in a tight team to ensure that Örebro municipality has a sustainable and circular energy solution and biogas infrastructure. Your workplace will be based in the modern facilities of the Technology and Service Administration in Berglunda.
Qualifications
As Biogas Manager, you will lead the development of the operation and understand and apply business principles. You will find new market outlets and customers for biogas to create conditions for the operation's continued growth. Requirements:
• Engineering education or education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Documented management experience with personnel, financial, and operational responsibilities
• Experience working with business operations
• Competence in energy market and the politics governing the market (local/regional politics, national and EU level)
• Experience working with energy issues
Meriting:
• Experience working in a politically governed organization
• Work experience in similar operations
• Experience driving business operations within municipal management
• Experience responsible for developing business-driven operations and processes
