About Us and the Job
Today, PostNord is the most hired delivery and logistics partner in the Nordic region, but we haven't forgotten our history. Postmuseum is our corporate museum where we playfully, educationally, and relevantly tell the exciting story of postal services, stamps, and communication for both children and adults. The person we are seeking will be responsible for collecting, preserving, caring for, and making our literature and philately collections accessible. You will be part of the Postal History Unit working on exhibitions, education, and collection matters. In your role, you will primarily drive your specific areas but are also expected to be active in all museum activities as needed. You will develop opportunities within the operations and collections, make materials available for research, and spread knowledge about cultural heritage. The position includes budget and goal follow-up. The workplace is at Postmuseum on Lilla Nygatan 6 in Gamla Stan, our own property with 300 years of history within its walls.

In the role of Library and Collections Manager, we are looking for someone who easily takes initiative while being comfortable working in a team. Structure comes naturally to you, and you feel a strong sense of responsibility for your area. We seek a person open to trying new working methods and approaches, and who is solution-oriented. You are comfortable speaking in front of others in both Swedish and English. We place great importance on suitability, with excellent and professional customer service being central to this role. Furthermore, you are always curious and ensure you stay updated in your field through continuous monitoring. Finally, you are unique, and we will place significant emphasis on your personal qualities.
What You Bring
- University degree in Library and Information Science with several years of library work experience
- High school diploma
- Cultural history background and/or strong interest in cultural history, heritage issues, and willingness to learn more about philately
- Experience with collection management and museum artifact handling is advantageous
- Strong ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English
- Additional language skills in German, Finnish, Russian, or Mandarin are merits
