The Hospital Library in Karlstad, together with the hospital libraries in Arvika and Torsby, forms the unit of Hospital Libraries in Värmland.
We have a close collaboration between the libraries and also work closely with healthcare within Region Värmland.
The team at the hospital libraries consists of eight employees, and together we develop and manage the operations.
The hospital libraries are open to everyone and provide services to healthcare staff, patients, students, and the general public. We are a combined library with both medical and general offerings, providing everything from medical information searches to recommendations for good books to read.
Your Responsibilities
Your tasks will include, among other things:
- Working with service, information, and reference work at the library's information desk
- Guiding and conducting information searches in medical databases
- Being responsible for the hospital library's website and Facebook
Your Knowledge and Competencies
You should have a degree in Library and Information Science or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
Experience in guidance and information searching in databases is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is outgoing and proactive. You enjoy working both in teams and independently and are flexible and service-oriented.
