About this role

**About the Position** During school hours, you will assist students in the school libraries. Together with the teachers, you will work to develop students' ability to seek relevant knowledge and to reflect on and critically evaluate it. In doing so, you will enhance students' learning and reading across all subjects with your expertise. As a school librarian, your primary responsibility will be to manage the library services at the school. This includes the regular tasks associated with a school library. You will support teachers and collaborate on education in areas such as source criticism and media and information literacy (MIK). You will be responsible for the library space and will need to shape it to create conditions for a safe study environment. Your role will include acquiring and managing media. In addition to supporting students in achieving their goals, you will actively promote reading and develop students' media and information literacy (MIK). We are looking for someone who is interested in working to develop our school library into a valuable resource for the school's overall educational mission. Your contributions will not be limited to the library; you will also work with students in the classrooms. You will be supported by a library assistant who works 50% on regular tasks in the school library. Experience in library work is an asset, but we also value other experiences outside of school or library-related work. Knowledge of library administrative systems is desirable. You have good computer skills and enjoy learning new technology and utilizing its potential. You like to manage and plan your daily work but must also be flexible and able to meet unexpected challenges that arise. You can express yourself clearly and correctly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You are solution-focused, have strong collaboration and communication skills, and enjoy exploring new avenues. As a librarian, your focus is on the best interests of the student, and you can independently apply your theoretical knowledge and previous experiences in collaboration with other staff at the school. We expect you to have good cooperative skills towards students, guardians, and colleagues. Approximately 85 students attend the school. T4 School also has an after-school program for students taught in subject areas. Hässleholm Montessori School is a primary school for grades F-9 with 300 students and an associated after-school program. The school offers education based on Maria Montessori's pedagogy and methods. Norräng School is an adapted upper secondary school with around 100 students. The school educates and guides students towards knowledge and independence.
