Stockholm University Library is one of the largest research libraries in the country. The library serves as a natural meeting place on campus and is a hub for information dissemination at Stockholm University. Here, 30,400 full-time students, 1,300 active doctoral candidates, and 5,400 staff members are actively engaged. The university library is structured as a network organization with self-organizing workgroups focused on user needs. These workgroups form the foundation of our organization. Then this could be the position for you! We are currently seeking a development-oriented librarian who will work broadly and who wants to contribute energy, joy, and expertise in these areas. For you, putting the user at the center is a given. Responsibilities The position is diverse and includes cataloging, acquisition of media resources, and digital user engagement. The cataloging team performs various types of cataloging work to provide a correct and well-functioning library catalog. The acquisition team purchases media resources based on incoming requests, and we have a fully user-driven acquisition process. In the digital user engagement, responses are primarily provided via email and chat with our users. There is also a significant focus on participating in the development of work processes. For this position, you should enjoy driving development and collaborating with your workgroups to take comprehensive responsibility for improving workflows and routines. A sense of joy in work and the ability to motivate both yourself and your colleagues characterize you. Qualifications Required: - Degree in library and information science or equivalent relevant higher education - Experience in cataloging work - Excellent collaboration skills and a holistic view. Preferred: - Experience in development work/project work - Experience in literature purchasing - Experience in digital or physical customer service or similar. As a person, you are communicative, collaborative, and quick to learn new things. You are structured in your working style, as well as highly development- and solution-oriented. You are also meticulous and very committed to providing good service. Working on continuous improvements in an environment where significant responsibility is placed on each employee suits you well. We place great importance on your personal qualities. About the position The position is permanent, full-time, with a six-month probation period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
