About this role
Strömstad Municipality is a small and close-knit organization where everyone is important and works together to deliver the best possible service.
The libraries are part of the Children and Education Administration in Strömstad Municipality.
The municipal main library and primary schools' school libraries form an organization led by the library manager.
School libraries collaborate with school educators to promote students' reading ability by creating curiosity around books and reading.
At the public library, our visitors come to read newspapers, study, borrow books, use library computers, and participate in activities such as book clubs and storytelling sessions. We collaborate with Sotenäs, Tanum, and Munkedal, which means we share a common library system.

You will work with accessible media such as Daisy and Legimus. Important qualities for the position include being outgoing, initiative-taking, having good service skills, and enjoying teamwork.
As a social librarian, you will actively work to strengthen the library's role as a safe meeting place in the community. You will collaborate with colleagues, associations, municipal activities, and civil society to reach out to groups who have difficulty accessing the library, such as elderly and people with functional variations.
